The TENG Ensemble X Allium Care Suites

We are delighted to have been a part of the TENG Ensemble’s meaningful project in tribute to the continued contributions migrants have made to Singapore’s success.

Nurses and Care Concierges are the hospitality of Allium Care Suites. Our Senior staff nurse, Augustine Thant received the honour of an invitation to be featured in the final instalment of TENG Ensemble’s Triptych series. Shabir lends his voice to the final part of TENG Ensemble’s Triptych Series – Childhood, which was composed as part of TENG’s 2016 album, Stories from an Island City. In this song, it features four popular Asian lullabies – 三轮车 (The Tricycle), 泥娃娃 (Mud Doll), Burung Kakak Tua (The Cockatoo Bird) and Ikan Kekek (The Silver Belly Bream Fish) as well as Bharathiyar’s poem, Manathil Uruthi Vendum. Migrant workers have played a large role in shaping our childhoods. From the playgrounds they built, to the services they have provided, this video recognises their contributions to Singapore.
