Swiss-based solutions provider Ascom has been selected by Singapore’s Allium Healthcare Holdings to deliver new patient call system.

As a wholly-owned subsidiary of investment holding company G. K. Goh Holdings, Allium Healthcare is the developer and operator of Singapore’s first purpose-built 129-bed nursing home on Venus Drive, Allium Care Suites, which is scheduled to welcome its first client in mid 2019.

The collaboration with Ascom will enable the care provider to leverage the latest IT solutions such as Ascom Healthcare Platform, as well as the Ascom teleCARE IP Patient call system, which integrates staff messaging via Ascom Myco 2 smartphone with wandering management technology.

“Our healthcare platform will help support the mobilisation of clients and care staff as it will enable profiling of the clients’ physical and cognitive condition to deliver adapting ageing in place care model,” said Aage Rask Andersen, vice president of Africa, Asia and Australia at Ascom.

Furthermore, the Ascom Myco 2 smartphone solution aims to enable caregivers to monitor and care for Allium Healthcare’s clients discreetly, and keep the most vulnerable safe, both indoors and out with Ascom Wandering Management and activity-based passive sensors. The Allium Care Suites will be the first in Asia to have such a system installed.

“The Ascom technology solutions will be customised to each client’s individual lifestyle, leading to an unobtrusive and dignified management of their care,” said Bernie Poh, CEO, Allium Healthcare. “In addition, the solutions will greatly improve efficiencies, freeing the home’s care staff to spend more quality time with our clients,” added Poh.

“A capable care team supported by the right technology will create a more effective and client-centred healthcare delivery system,” said Poh. “After an extensive assessment of companies, Ascom stood out as the one best aligned with our mission.”

“These technologies not only reveal great opportunities for how we care for our clients, but they also make a tangible difference, providing our care staff with more streamlined workflows and our clients’ freedom, safety, and comprehensive care,” added Poh.
